Local artist Ren Seffer exhibits in New York

Ren Seffer

The Agora Gallery in Chelsea, New York, will present works from local artist Ren Seffer in an exhibit titled Sensorial Realities.

The exhibition is scheduled to run from 2 October through 23 October, and the collection will feature a selection of Ms Seffer’s new works. The official opening reception will take place on 8 October from 6pm to 8pm.

Ms Seffer creates multi–layered works that focus on colours, texture and imagery. Starting with strokes of black, she builds her paintings up through to bright colour, letting them form as they will, producing a freedom in her brushstrokes and a spontaneity in the forms that inhabit the canvases.

Born in Melbourne, Australia, Ms Seffer currently lives in Cayman and is a full–time artist and self–confessed gypsy.

Sensorial Realities is a collection of whimsical works of contemporary art exploring both the spiritual and earthly themes. These artists take us on a merry expedition though mystic jungles and intergalactic realms, while delving into the yearly cycles of birth and rebirth. Other works focus on the timeless, transformative power of the figure. Together these creative minds provide us with an extraordinary art experience.

Sensorial Realities includes works from artists Michael Berger, David Jeffery Frank, Melissa Norenberg, Christopher Stone and Tineke Wilde as well as Ms Seffer.
