Art has always been present in Flavia Centrone’s life. Born in Brazil, her childhood was spent drawing, sometimes on leaves when there wasn’t any paper near. But it wasn’t until she discovered digital art that she found the medium that completes her, and compliments her expression of the self.
For inspiration, Flavia draws from wherever is offering, often utilizing memories, emotions, and even voids. Colors can illuminate the voids. And color is palpable in her art. Working mostly in abstract expressionism, abstract informal and figurative, her pieces often show the mysterious, fragile, strong, and independent sides of women, as well as the beauty, vibrancy, and diversity of world cultures.
