WALTER BRUSZEWSKI

The Chelsea International Fine Art Competition Exhibition
August 25 – September 8, 2015
Reception: Thursday, August 27, 2015 6-8 PM

Walter Bruszewski's art is both visually and methodically informed by his careers in science and engineering. His sculptures speak a language of deconstruction, bringing out the essential elements in both his materials and subjects to explore the endless curiosities of the natural world. With modernist sensibilities, Bruszewski evokes an almost retro, sci-fi aesthetic in his sprawling, eccentric pieces.

Inspired by the likes of Henry Moore, Alexander Calder, Isamu Noguchi, and George Rickley, Bruszewski hand works every component of his sculptures: cutting, bending, welding, preparing, and painting his steel, plastic, and wood materials.
