Meir Raz

Meir Raz creates abstract works that are inspired by his hometown of Haifa, Israel. Raz's paintings are his interpretation of the urban and natural landscapes that surround him. Working with a variety of materials, including wood and mechanical tools, Raz crafts multi-textured works through unconventional methods. His work is a culmination of memories, events, and emotions expressed through his use of a bold color palette, evocative of the vibrant light of Haifa.

Raz's recent body of work includes an exploration of sculpture that reflects his reverence of nature. His sculptures are made from found or recycled electronic boards, representing an ecological approach. His artistic practice is rooted in his passion for his community and environment.

Raz is inspired by the contemplation of the everyday singularity of contemporary life.
