Artist Theo Golb creates acrylic paintings through the use of mixed techniques, including digitally created patterns, motifs, and other visual components. He has developed his unique method over years of experimentation and a transformative trip to Morocco. The artist’s passion for architecture and music has increasingly presented itself in his work, as he draws in the polyphonic principles of Bach and geometric logic of architecture. He employs rapturous colors in intense abstract compositions where geometry turns fluid and vibrant realities appear.
The artist was born in China to Ukrainian parents, was raised in Germany and Lithuania, and has since settled in Montreal. He has a richly artistic background, having studied and practiced music, fine art, and theatre, and worked as a teacher of arts, languages, history, theatre, and as an art consultant. His works can be found in private collections around the world, and have been exhibited in both group and solo exhibitions for over 40 years.
