Linda Behar is a Venezuelan American multimedia artist who explores the contradictions between societal expectations and self-identity. She is particularly interested in analyzing the female form to confront the aesthetic standards placed on women.
Behar employs geometric shapes and three-dimensional figures to give a visual form to body language and human behavior. The resulting works are an interpretation of the history and traditions of the body as a form of communication. Her primary goal is to create images that “echo the past, confront the present, and embrace the future.”
