Spanish artist Jesua Marian creates abstract-figurative works in the form of digitally manipulated photography. Informed by his degree in Psychopedagogy, Marian’s works handle the conscious and subconscious mind of his subjects and himself, as a creator. After being in a Coma for 57 days, Marian channels the intense dreams and visions that his mind experienced in that situation, giving his work a unique perspective on the power of the subconscious mind.
Marian is from the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. The artist’s training as a music teacher, computer programming technician and educational psychologist have provided him inspiration and insight for his work. Despite only being a practicing artist for two years, Marian has already notably exhibited his work in the Museum of the Government of the Canary Islands in 2019.
