Gianluca Pollini is an Italian artist based in Bologna. He began his career as a naturalistic reporter with a photography company, where he published several nature magazines and books. He works mostly in medium format with black and white film. His is an exploration of the metaphysics of the ‘Italian Rationalist’ architectural landscape and still life images. His scenes are aimed at capturing the timelessness of these built environments. He highlights the contrast between colors and lines, marking the metaphysical relationship between the geometrical elements.
