DANIEL SERVA

The Latin American Contemporary Fine Art Competition
December 5 – December 15, 2018
Reception: Thursday, December 6, 2018 6-8 PM

Artist Daniel Serva bends reality to his whim with his surreal photographs. Known for his playful imagery, Serva fuses the natural world with elements of fantasy.

In Mirrors Lie I, we see a young man lying in the sand as he passes through a frame that seems to lead to another dimension. As the title conveys, the piece seems caught between our expectations and the world we see around us. Desperate for an escape from the blustery heat, his subject creates his own reality, one filled with the promise of a better tomorrow.
