The biggest influence for Chinese artist Chenyi Sun are the relationships between people, and people and the world. His work explores the nuances of these connections (and disconnections) by revealing them from different angles. In Blue and Red, he renders the inner experience of his subjects, who face increasing social isolation despite an expanding urban environment.
Originally from Shanghai, China, Sun obtained his MFA in painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He continues to live in Georgia, where he focuses on oil painting, water media, acrylic, sketch, pastel, printmaking and mixed media.
