When she is not engaged as a professor of Architecture at the University of Buenos Aires, Celina Baldasarre transitions to a two-dimensional mode of expression. Her mixed-media collages combine clippings of fashion figures and landscapes with charcoal or ink drawings of rocks and geometric patterns. “I think about everything,” Baldasarre says, “every minimal detail. I cover every segment and later I begin moving away, to dissolve in sleep, in my own instability.” When her pieces are finished, she says, “Not even the wind can move them.”
Celina Baldasarre lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
