Agora Gallery is pleased to announce Interconnection and Intuition, a group exhibition of paintings and photographs exposing the invisible threads that make up the fabric of our human experience. Humans do not exist in a vacuum; they are the product of their culture, society, and history. Although the feeling of separation may seem tangible, our every action, thought, and belief is shaped by the environment to which we are exposed and our interactions with others. As such, the artists resurrect symbols of the ancient past, in the form of hieroglyphics and mythological figures, or reprise traditional crafts like martial arts and calligraphy. On a more intimate level, the notion of interrelation spurs reflections on childhood nostalgia, environmental issues, and the sense of profound isolation caused by the pandemic. Whether accepted, subverted, or simply observed, the legacy we consciously or unconsciously inherited is part of who we are today; changing the narrative is up to us.
