Lisa Marsh has earned a place in Agora Gallery’s Digital Display with a presentation of her selected artwork through her achievement during The 34th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition. Her work breaches the territory of figurative image-making to locate a middle ground in which abstraction competes with representation. As a result, Marsh’s pieces favor line and gestural mark over realistic color/form.
The artist identifies with the challenges and struggles that define the human experience, noting, “The struggles of inequality, mass migration, and political unrest are among the many newsworthy events that fuel content for my work.”
Marsh's work will be on digital display August 10 - 20, 2019.
