Sam Sundius is showcasing a Digital Display exhibition of her work at Agora Gallery for her outstanding achievement in The 34th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition. Sundius is a visual artist working in drawing, fiber, and installation art to explore issues related to family, misogyny, and the body.
The artist’s series, “Hair Pieces,” are made from her own hair sewn into photos of domestic spaces. They present a grotesque inhabitation of pristine kitchen and living areas that speaks to gender, mania, and death.
Sundius' work will be on digital display August 10 - 20, 2019.
