U.S. based artist, Pauline Rakis paints abstract and figurative artworks. Rakis implements an intuitive and gestural painting style while tackling traditional themes such as landscapes and still lives. She uses vinegar and rusted items to alter the coloration and texture of the media in her work and has experimented with other materials as well. She enjoys uncovering imagery and seeing how a painting evolves during her artistic process.
