Fall Equinox: A Collective Exhibition
September 17 – October 8, 2019
Reception: Thursday, September 19, 2019 6-8 PM

Jeffery Phillip Harris, artistically known as Elijah, is a neo-transcendentalist painter originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. In the world of modern contemporary art, Elijah’s paintings stand out in a unique way His work was influenced by the philosophical movement of transcendentalism which was developed and facilitated by Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson. The core of his work is art that transcends objects.

In 2009, Elijah embarked on a one-year journey that ended with an experience on his farm in Indiana. His art is about that experience. It enables viewers to see reflections of their own soul.
