Silajit Ghosh is an Indian artist who strives, through his expressive paintings, to dive into the deepest crevices of the human mind. His paintings are unique in that he blends neon, vibrant colors in geometrical shapes. In his paintings, the movement and flow of colors create a pleasing visual experience through the artist's use of multiple mediums, both analog and digital. Ghosh begins each piece without apprehension; he sees the brush as an extension of his body and creates symphonic like patterns as if his paintings were capable of performing a melody to its viewers.
The paintings take on a life of their own. Ghosh believes in the individuality of each painting, untainted by the creator, and thus refuses to mark any canvas with his signature. Ghosh, inspired by the intermingling of colors in his pieces, seeks to create harmonious textures and patterns. Influenced by geometric and abstract expressionism, his work develops at the crossroad of the two artistic movements. Ghosh attempts to strike the viewer with bold colors, loose gestures, and repeating patterns, while simultaneously using a technique that blends the analog with the digital.
