I have been a sculptor for 7 years ... The virus took me... One day I recovered pieces from the scrap heap and assembled and welded them until a rearing horse was born! It isn’t a hard stretch for me, as far back as I can remember I have always had a corner of the house where I sat down to draw. I suppose I was just born that way. My sculptures are unique, funny and colorful with all kinds of objects within them; a gas bottle, a pot, some kitchenware, wheels, the hood of a car, fire extinguishers, agricultural machine parts… I see a piece of iron in a bizarre shape, which has been damaged by time, or a manufactured piece of steel – anything can be the start of a sculpture. My imagination gallops. Grinder, welder, and torch will heat up and my fingers will assemble everything metal within reach to create a unique work, full of color and poetry.

Yves Lagraulet
|
Yves Lagraulet creates non-figurative paintings, focusing exclusively on the fundamental elements of pictorial language – lines, angles, primary color and complimentary colors. His method is both exalting and an inspiration. His art is something that can be appreciated by all the senses, through its subtle inner movement, which draws the eye across the piece and encourages the mind to follow. Yves Lagraulet is one of the most interesting and important figures in the contemporary art world. In the vast world of abstract painting, he is a model of resolute objectivity, a commitment which is vital to his work and lends a special fascination to the viewing experience.

Above all, emotions which drive the heart and soul inspire my work. Humankind in all our statements, our joys, our fears, our revolts, our anger, but also our defects regarding our environment, the defects that come with existing in this hostile world. It might seem like a hard point of view, even desperate, but should that make us look away? We are far from being as evolved as we so often claim to be! There is so much yet to learn, and we do not have enough humility facing our ignorance – instead there is often so much arrogance! I am an idealist, but I would rather say that I am in search of an ideal. Better still, that I am on a quest! I have the feeling that this is what we’ve been lacking, what we lost over the years; we forgot our childhood’s sacred dreams! Through ease, cowardice, through fear of changes… maybe through fear of death?

Her paintings which have received numerous awards can be found in private collections both in France and abroad. One of her works has recently been purchased by a museum in Ile de France.

After graduating from the Academy of Arts of Germany, I started paving my own way towards an understanding of the world. Like a tight rope walker, balancing on a string, I'm a painter observing the composition of the world, the traces of human, earth and space activities. My works retrace my feelings and become the particles of my inner world.

Noa-B
|
Born on December 13th, 1970 in Lyon to a very modest family, Noa is fascinated by both drawing and painting. A difficult and solitary childhood meant that she could not follow artistic studies, but the ways she learned to express her talent later are part of the charm of her work. Now her art has become one of the refuges in her life, something which builds on itself and takes up the majority of her time. A self-taught artist, she has developed her art on her own which has influenced the way she uses materials. At the beginning Noa essentially used red and black for the contrast of these powerful and eloquent colors. Focusing on the plastic arts, her research on structures, minerals and materials serves as inspiration for her plastic creations.

Sylvi Pasquier
|
Sylvi Pasquier’s canvases go straight to the heart. Flooded with light, flowers glow and burst with life. The range of oil colors is exceptional in its strength and vigor. A powerful blazing red, which is further intensified by a red-toned background, with gold beneath it, forms the keynote that determines the whole of her compositions. The text carried by the words is present without being intrusive. It suggests, encourages us to guess, reveals… Like a composer, the artist combines the most diverse red tones in a complex harmony.

Sophie Rechsteiner
|
Trained as an architect, Sophie Rechsteiner turned definitively to painting in 1995, specializing in watercolors done on very large sheets of paper. She divided her time between her studios in Brittany and Paris, and her travels to Polynesia, in the atelier of Gauguin in the Marquis Islands. A lover of water in her chosen subjects, she is well-known for the "cracking" effect. She does this by using in her work the technique of applying heavily saturated pigments to water-logged paper, at the precise very brief moment when the paper turns "satin", allowing it to release all its splendor.
