			The charming paintings of Marie-Claude Bosc Depretz evoke a knowingly nostalgic vision of Parisian life and landmarks. Almost naïve in style, the figures that populate this world are modern and so they ground the compositions in the present. However, with the most delicate of brushstrokes, subtle colors are blended to create a harmonious palette, which adds to the sense of nostalgia. Bosc’s handling of the oils is reminiscent of watercolor, creating sensitive variations in tone and shade. Marie-Claude Bosc Depretz lives and works in Paris, France. Send this page to a Friend
