Renowned throughout the world for her unique style of painting, dubbed “Soft Abstraction”, Jutta Rakoniewski has been profoundly inspired in the ongoing stylistic development of her work by her international travels. Preferring to paint outdoors, it’s no surprise that the artist has incorporated abstracted renderings of the five elements into her artistic vocabulary and, imbued with a dream-like mood, draws inspiration from the glorious color scheme of the natural world. Painting in a diverse assortment of mediums, from acrylic, to oil, to ink, on surfaces as varied as canvas and paper, her works are united by a common mission to surround the viewer in an ambient warmth and sense of serenity.
Born in Germany, Jutta Rakoniewski studied painting in Canada, and has exhibited her work in Germany and the United States. Her paintings can be found in collections in North America, Germany, Italy, France and Africa. A true citizen of the world whose inspiring painting style has received international acclaim, the artist also served as a peace ambassador to China.
