When do layers and textures of paint evoke feelings of movement? What allows viewers to sense sound vibrations from a painting? How can bold strokes of vibrant color open a dimension beyond the visual?
In the hands of Cynthia Hudson, these exceptional feats are her standard signature. She has the ability to touch an audience on many levels by conveying a unique whimsy and energy. Growing up with an artisan father and dancer mother, Ms. Hudson blends the two cultures and produces artwork choreographed with mood, rhythm, and liveliness. Cynthia Hudson’s early oil portraits established a base of realistic discipline from which her present technique evolved. By allowing her innate connection to dance and movement to influence this structure, Ms. Hudson achieves a mesmerizing style. She has enjoyed numerous commissions for corporations, exhibitions, and collectors, and her work has appeared on the television show “Dharma and Greg”. Cynthia Hudson lives and works in Kansas City
