Press Release
“Capturing the world through my hands with the miracle of colors,” is how Atousa Foroohary describes the goal of her creative endeavors. Reveling in the endless varieties of natural beauty, Foroohary seeks to be the intermediary for which to express ineffable wonders of the natural world. She paints with heavy applications of color; foliage takes on a thick, vibrant appearance, the rivers reflect the surroundings beautifully, and the skies retain a weightless appearance. Foroohary will often complete a singular work on multiple panels; the effect is intriguing, as if relating to the viewer that our perception is always comprised of a series of impressions. Foroohary began painting in her early teens, yet it was her travels to Canada that inspired her to focus on landscapes. It is her artistic goal to create works that are true-to-life, depicting an unspoiled world that is filled with energy and wonder.
