Press Release
Boldly valiant in both theme and aesthetic, French-born artist VéroniKaH is curious to her core. Color splashes through her lively compositions, guiding our eyes in explorations of sparkling vibrancy. Through rich, nuanced texture, VéroniKaH teases out the opulent significance of her relationship with the people, places and perspectives that populate her world. She speaks to the variety of life with quick, immediate brushwork, sometimes plush and thick, sometimes lean and fine. Her works are imbued with lyrical melody, serene in passion, yet playful in their spirited enthusiasm for life. An ardor for creativity and visually interpreting the range of human emotion is at the center of VéroniKaH’s artistic practice and technique. “My technique is a continuous research of new visual effects never seen before,” she says. Fittingly, flowers serve as one of her chief inspirations — the vivacious textures, forms, pulsating colors and floral beauty of blossoms stimulating her fervor for creation.
VéroniKaH lives and works in Montreal.
Artist Statement
I have recently become a full-time professional artist, able to devote myself to my passion for art. Playing with colors and textures is my focus and passion. All my creations start with an acrylic base and then I apply color ink, stained glass or pigments after my foundation is dry. I usually let my intuition decide what to do without really thinking about it. My technique is a continuous search for new visual effects never seen before. My collection includes abstracts, flowers, nudes and collages that reflect my daily life; the good and the bad, the excitements and the deceptions. I connect with people through my art, which for me is therapeutic, an essential part of my continued existence. Through my work, I remind people to search for hidden beauty in the world, and value their own perceptions and perspective. I have exhibited and sold my artwork in Montréal, Canada, New York, USA and London, UK.
