The archival inkjet prints of Rudelle possess a virtual liquidity in the spirit of digital wanderlust. Clever injunctions against the tyranny of boundaries, these thrilling patterns are cleverly developed to encourage their audience to engage with them in the hope of revealing the secrets that seem tantalizingly hidden within. Metamorphosed and transformed into unusual shapes, creating intriguing visual mysteries, ephemeral forms fill the frame as the harsh lines of photographic perfection soften and seep into stunning abstraction. A self-taught master of digital manipulation, Rudelle sometimes includes subtly recognizable images, teasing the viewer with creations that seem identifiable, yet which are constantly drawing us further into the ambiguities of her marvelous world. In this way we join with the artist in developing our perception and interpretation through the medium of her remarkable art.
Born in Mill Creek, West Virginia, Rudelle has won over 110 awards for creative achievement in the arts since 2003. She currently lives and works in Seaford, Delaware.
