Award-winning artist Natali Grunska shares with us a window to a serene natural world. Her large-scale paintings are created using several separate panels, offering us stunning views of writhing tree branches reaching towards the heavens. Grunska’s work offers a respite from our modern world, a moment to connect with the impartial being of nature. She sweeps us into her painting with intensely beautiful color schemes. Skies and trees are depicted at a particular time of year or moment of the day, presented in a manner that is designed to elicit a specific mood. Grunska even articulates the gentle breezes with sweeping impasto brushstrokes, over which she crisply delineates each branch to its thinnest reaches. There is an organic flow that underlies each composition: forest and sky seem to act in accord, reminding us of the natural unification of all life.
Grunska has exhibited her paintings in Italy, Switzerland and in the United States and has been featured in a variety of Italian popular media. She lives and works in Milan.
