Losan Piatti’s large scale photographs capture the mundane, the theatrical and the mystical with visionary flair. Dreamy, precisely lit vignettes of everyday life are sharpened by the passionate force of Piatti’s surrealist imaginary. Evoking human experience on all its levels, including those which are darkest and most psychologically painful, the works deal with issues such as mortality and fear of wasting life. On a more basic level, they face vital questions of what it is to be human.

Losan Piatti was born in 1981 in a Tibetan Buddhist Community, in a castle in Tuscany, Italy.
