LOGAN WOODLE

The Chelsea International Fine Art Competition Exhibition
August 22 - September 11, 2014
Reception: Thursday August 28, 2014 6-8 PM

Logan Woodle’s metal and wood artwork is seriously constructed but full of humor. Woodle creates work based on his experiences in a farming family. Each piece is a practical, functional tool that the artist encountered growing up, ornamented in personally meaningful and affectionately analytical ways; his headcheese molds wryly remind us how much we get from pigs, while his biscuit cutter is imprinted with an image of his father's nanny’s fingers. Every work catches our attention and plucks at our emotions.

Woodle was born in Conway, South Carolina and today teaches at Coastal Carolina University.
