JOAQUIN AMAYAR

The Chelsea International Fine Art Competition Exhibition
August 22 - September 11, 2014
Reception: Thursday August 28, 2014 6-8 PM

A renaissance man at heart, Joaquin Amayar’s acrylic paintings on wood panel are largely inspired by the nomadic period he spent traveling though Europe as a gypsy playing Flamenco music and acting in the theater. Bold and colorful, his works evoke a strong emotional reaction from the viewer and inspire a deeper relationship with perception. By choosing to abolish the frame, Amayar courts abstraction and maneuvers beautifully through void space.

Joaquin Amayar was born in Seville, Spain where he currently still resides.
He has exhibited work in Spain, France and Switzerland.
