Photographer Jack Breit creates intuitive abstract digital collages that are as imaginative and unrestricted as a work of oil on canvas. Like a modern-day alchemist, Breit transforms photography into color-saturated works of art. His images of an alternate reality are a synthesis of de facto and remembered experience, transformed into an eclectic series of familiar, yet unfamiliar scenes by the artist’s unique vision; his ideas evolving through a process of continuous exploration and development. Breit deconstructs Man’s artifacts and experiences, only to reconstruct them into evocative juxtapositions born out of the wellspring of his boundless imagination. He delights in a witty and engaging exploration of contradictions – motion and the motionless, the spectacular and the mundane. Jack Breit’s never-ending creativity in the medium of photography and mixed-media has earned him the nickname “The Darkroom Wizard”. A leading historian of digital art has stated “This work is some of the most important and creative photography done in the last decade”. Jack Breit has won over 500 national and international awards. His photography and mixed-media artworks are exhibited in over 27 major museums and art centers in the USA, Canada and Europe and are featured in collections of an impressive list of corporate and private art lovers.
