Using oil paint in bright colors, Gwen Graham brings to her work the sheer joy of nature. Using rich, opaque tones, the artist expresses a sophisticated technique which is reminiscent of the French Primitives and Post-Impressionism. The thrill of color is nearly Fauvist, but her subtle scrutiny of fleeting moments is thoroughly modern. Graham's panels resonate with a sense of stillness.
