Whether she is presenting swirling tempests or gently rendered seascapes under burnished bands of clouds, natural light emanates in rings of color in Anna Carina Fleischhacker's paintings. Her works are recognizable explorations of landscape, yet she has moved beyond the restrictions of naturalism. The vision she presents contains an added expressionist dimension of mood conjured by the dramatic interactions among her natural objects. Reeds separate to frame waves of moonlight, and thick yet glowing color hangs palpably in the air, while beneath it, the deep, rich colors of the earth respond back to the sky like a living entity. There is also a jubilant use of bright reds and yellows, and Anna Carina skillfully evokes a contemplative feeling in the cool green ripples with which she occasionally renders sunlight.
With luminous tones that present a holistic view of a living, interactive nature in all its vivid palette, Anna Carina Fleischhacker's paintings are alive with the joy and passion she brings to her work. Anna Carina currently lives and works in Burgenland, Austria.
I think one of the greatest inspirations for me as an artist has been the sea, meadows and villages of my native Austria. They were a formative influence whilst I was growing up, and they remain important to me today. They appear time and again in my artwork, and are the source of the harmony and peace that I try to convey.
Another important influence is my little daughter, Hannah; right from the time she was born I could feel the difference it made to my painting in the colors I used and the energy in the pictures.
