Paul Wortman - Artist and Art Teacher
...
|
| My work is focused on representational figurative imagery - especially people, animals and landscapes. I prefer working with traditional materials, such as natural sanguine chalk, homemade walnut ink, oil paint, watercolor, and clay, but am also familiar with computer art techniques using Photoshop, Illustrator and web design. I studied drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and art history at St. Mary's College of Maryland (BA); The Art Students League of New York; The Pratt Graphics Center Manhattan; and Brooklyn College, CUNY (MFA); and computer graphics at The Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY. I teach art to students at the Leon M. Goldstein High for the Sciences @ Kingsborough Community College, CUNY, in Brooklyn, NY. My work is available for sale and commission.
