Judith Barath

Judith BarathJudith Barath

Inspired by the feminine beauty and details of Botticelli and the wild colors and exotic flowers of Van Gogh, Judith Barath works with both oil and digital print on canvas to create a collection of works that dance between reality and fantasy. The contrast between traditional techniques and technology found in her collection is astounding. Barath is a versatile artist, and an innovator in her craft.

In Barath’s vibrant depictions of natural wonders, flowers unfurl with great detail, and bask in the artist’s magnificent color palette. Their leaves are lush, so realistic they begged to be touched. While in her dramatic, digital prints, she utilizes her computer to alter color, texture, dimension and composition to draw the viewer into her mystical, sensual images. Her prints create a magical realm for both her subjects and the viewer to indulge in. Judith Barath graduated from the University of Design and Graphic Arts in Budapest, Hungary. She is a painter, photographer and digital artist. She currently lives in Oak Brook, Illinois.

T. Michael T. Mikey

T. Michael T. MikeyT. Michael T. Mikey

Process and inspiration flow together seamlessly in the work of T. Mikey, where complex allegories dwell in distinctive, whimsical realities. Mikey’s imagery is fun, evocative and surreal, every piece is a new step into the unknown. Viewers must proceed through each artwork’s multi-layered symbolism, a luminous pastiche of wildly colorful dreamwork interlaced with celestial themes, religion, pop culture, and world events. Mikey developed a versatile and powerful means to produce his unique brand of art.

Using a patented technique he has dubbed 3DUV, he combines numerous layers of transparent film worked with a secret formulation of paint and an assortment of multi-colored lights, finishing each piece with an elegant, light-box type frame. “It is a hybrid technique of many art forms including but not limited to painting, photography, collage, digital manipulation, large format printing, lighting design, carpentry, and sculpture,” Mikey explains. His technique is a powerful means to increase the sense of depth and dimensionality, while offering stunning effects rarely seen the world of fine art.

Adrienne Van Swan

Adrienne Van SwanAdrienne Van Swan

For Adrienne Van Swan, the artistic medium of photography represents a deep language with which she translates the world around her into sensitive, dreamlike creations that convey an intensely personal message. A handicap suffered in early youth by this German master of the digital image led her to explore the illusory nature of the world we live in, capturing her findings in pixel on paper, like an explorer of uncharted domains. Van Swan uses the lens of her camera to chronicle the depths of the human soul. Her compositions are a fusion of the real and the imaginary, in which she takes familiar elements of the everyday world and transforms them into photographic dreamscapes; the amalgamation of unrelated elements transmuting into a compelling reflection of the artist’s vision of humanity. The emotional dimension is creatively expressed in works like “Child Soul,” where the reflected image in the innocent eye of a small child takes on the characteristics of fantastic nostalgia, inviting the viewer to an array of poignant interpretations. Adrienne van Swan lives and works in Saarbruecken, Germany.
