The Color of Motion
January 2 - January 23, 2007 Reception: Thursday January 4, 2007 6-8 PM

Taking an introspective stance at expressive abstraction, The Color of Motion presents artists whose work spans various spheres of abstract language, from probing free-form subconscious streams to composing recognizably figurative representations in undefined settings. Anne Elisabeth Hogh and Beatriz Domingo explore movement and direction through graphic, color-rich canvases, while Leona Whitlow and Han Yoon Jung delve into the representation of the irrational, based on the presence and absence of color and shape. Vincent Fitches’ subtle use of organic space takes the figurative into abstract spaces.
