Jack Cymber’s art is fashioned with spontaneity and pure energy. His mixed media works are large and compelling, looming over their audience with fiery color and imposing free-flowing form. Working in full abstraction Cymber nonetheless infuses into the pieces a sense of drama, and our reaction to his viscous imagery is primordial and pure. His paintings may often recall natural phenomena, both earthly and otherworldly, as our minds seek to make sense of it. One may envision immense nebulas, crackling glacial sheets, incredible volcanic blasts, and crushing waves. His sense of color is astounding, moving easily between subtle earthy hues and brilliant complements.
Cymber is an artist seeking to portray the ineffable and spiritual. "I am a Universalist artist, believing in a reconciliation between humanity and the divine," he explains. "My art explores interpretations and influences of metaphysical concepts." To Cymber, everywhere you look there is something to see, to explore, to inspire. He has exhibited frequently in Israel, as well as in New York and Paris. He lives and works in Tel Aviv and Miami.
