Press Release
The photography collages of Carolyn Quan express a deep love of nature and a beautiful, creative spirit of unity. Quan’s subject matter is the natural world; she is interested in the interconnectedness of plants, animals and humans. Her photo collages are fantastic tributes to the idea of this union between living things. Light, leaves and human figures seem to fuse into one extraordinary being in her photographs. Quan’s works are hyper-realistic imaginings of a utopian world where there is no separation between humans and their environment. As Quan states, “the organic theme of my art places emphasis on the fact that our natural world provides us with all of our basic needs and an insurmountable abundance of beauty on this earth.” Carolyn Quan began her career as a fine artist three years ago and has found success quickly. She currently lives and works in Maui, Hawaii where she owns her own gallery.
