Rosane Demeterco BussmannRosane Demeterco Bussmann

Brazilian artist Rosane Bussmann, has said that the inspiration for her work comes from her spiritual life, and indeed these digital collages are clearly an aesthetic manifestation of personal ideals and hopes. Although they are certainly not portraits of material reality, they are by no means alien to our inner lives. These are images we see in our dreams - symbolic expressions of emotional longing. Her images are iconic in that they are primarily concerned with the universals of life - with human connection, the changes we all endure in life and with the struggle to find common ground with the rest of the world. These are timeless pursuits, and Rosane pursues them with an artist's passion.

From the first moments of her inspiration, to the final result of these quietly stirring images into which Rosane Bussmann has put her soul, in an experience of her work we feel her integrity and commitment. They speak directly to our hearts, and we respond in kind.
