 
Characterized by brilliant colors, textural brush strokes and an often whimsical subject matter, Maryanne Kelly Hand's eclectic mix of paintings reflects an independent artistic spirit and deep understanding of the human experience. Also working in pen and ink, Hand's delicate and richly detailed line drawings reflect another key facet of the artist's creative mind. The versatile artist adeptly handles a variety of subject matter, from botanical subjects, to the human figure, adding to each subject a distinct feeling of the artist's hand. Her works' appealing themes, magnetic colors, and mesmerizing details engage the eye in a stimulating experience of perception and emotion.
Born in Augusta, Georgia, Maryanne Kelly Hand holds a degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute. She is included in the National Archives of Women in the Arts, the Who's Who of American Women, and was recently added to the Biltmore Honor Edition of the business and professional community. Dedicated to helping others, she recently completed a large scale 9/11 project to benefit the International Firefighters Fund. Her paintings are widely collected and two are included in a museum collection.
