Dooney

Dooney creates abstracted expressionistic works of art that originate from his psyche rather than as a response to American culture. The works are fresh and vibrant, displaying wide ranges of color that work off each other, creating a constrained energy. The works are built, layer upon layer, as their complexities increase and are then hidden. Dooney creates his compositions entirely in color and so uses subtle plays of light and tone to draw the viewer through the paintings and tell us his story.

Dooney lives and works in Los Angeles.
