Ciceros’ art is shaped by a combination of shamanistic inspiration and a highly charged political/cultural awareness. His work at times presents volcanic eruptions of color, as dramatic events are framed in sprays of fiery tones bursting forth and confronting the viewer. His shamanistic point of view enables him to tap into expressions of primal inspiration and put these vivid images to canvas. His work varies between this explosive imagery and more quiet explorations of shading and the sublime effects of roiling forms spreading across a canvas.
Whether the mood of his work is transcendent or incendiary, the power in his work lies consistently in his skilled manipulation of light and shadow as mutually dependent entities. Like two halves of a soul, darkness and light are vital to Ciceros’ work. His fervently held beliefs and commitment to his art heighten one's appreciation for his imagery, as Ciceros courageously continues to explore the depths of the human experience.
