Annie SeddonAnnie Seddon

With their tenderness and sensitivity, Annie Seddon’s portraits breathe with life, appeal to our senses, and pull us in to explore their world. Her characters peer back at us through deep piercing eyes while sumptuously colored hair and fabric flow down the picture plane. Seddon’s works are most certainly original even in this overcrowded genre. She works in pastels, colored pencil, charcoal, and watercolors, achieving a silky appearance of light punctuated by rhythmic, sinewy line-work. Seddon is clearly a skilled portrait artist yet her true talent lies in absorbing her subjects’ essence, whether human or animal. She began her artistic journey capturing images of wildlife, soon moving on to portray people whose inner being demanded her attention. "It is my desire to reflect life in my paintings, capturing the mood and personality of my subject and revealing the soul within the character."

Annie Seddon openly embraces new techniques and is constantly exploring the possibilities that surround her. She lives and works in Paradise, Montana.
